MSDN Subscription!
I finally have an MSDN (academic) subscription!!! It does not include EVERYTHING that a normal MSDN subscription includes, but it does include a LOT of software that is 100% free to me if I so choose to download it.
So far, I have downloaded MSDOS 6.0 and Visual Studio 2005 Professional ($799 for once license straight from Microsoft). I have access to almost anything I want, including portions of Microsoft Office (but not the whole suite). (and luckily, I can get Office 2007 Ultimate for $60 since I’m a student — straight from Microsoft) This includes Vista Business Edition 64-bit, Server 2003, Server 2000, and even Windows XP Embedded (what in the world would I do with that?!?)
I’m pretty excited.
Just thought I should let you know.. back to installing Visual Studio…
