Sony Ships 2 Million Playstation 3′s

Interesting. I’ve seen them bulk stacked at Best Buy. (I even saw someone pick one up and check out in front of me) Even though they are stacked, think about it. By December 31st, they shipped only 1 million PS3′s and they were nowhere to be found. Add a million to that. That’s a lot of consoles. A lot more than what is currently sitting around.

Sony also mentioned that it may not hit its goal of 6 million by the end of March. It estimated that 4.5 million would be shipped. I’m very surprised that there aren’t any manufacturing flaws. Looks like Sony took their time, whereas Microsoft rushed their Xbox360 and are having to shrink the die size on the processor. Good job, Microsoft.
